Project 221 (2nd year)
Secure Wireless City
| Forward-thinking governments are currently moving to deploy high-bandwidth citywide networks with considerations of strong security implementations to support mobile applications for citizens. In this project, we focus on novel authentication designs based on our proposed Secure Wireless City architecture consisting of Wi-Fi and WiMAX technologies. The challenge of this project in this year is to design an authentication scheme compatible with IEEE 802.16e PKMv2, IEEE 802.1X, EAP protocol, etc. The authentication scheme should achieve device and user authentication in one single EAP transaction and take advantages of the strength of hardware based trusted computing approaches. |
