Network Security Assessment Technology Development
| This project aims to develop advanced security assessment technology and software systems with automatic intelligence. It mainly covers three aspects of technology application, which are security scanning & assessment, system risk evaluation and dynamic defense support. At the initial stage, to establish a system foundation, the development work focuses on: |
| 1. | Intelligent vulnerability scan; | |
| 2. | Automated penetration test; | |
| 3. | Attack taxonomy & DB build; | |
| 4. | Intrusion detection system probe; | |
| Afterwards, the work will extend to cover statistical learning, risk measurement metrics, and dynamic security management support etc. By integrating these technology components together, this project will eventually complete an intelligent assessment platform that will be featured with full-fledged capability and scalability. To facilitate the progress, part of advanced research work will be executed by collaborating with outstanding professors in US universities, such as UC Berkeley and CMU. |
