 3rd year, 1st year

RESEARCH TEAMS

During the 2nd project year, July 2007 - June 2008, iCAST members have been working on 12 projects: one from Institute for Information Industry (III), three from Industrial Technology Research Institute  (ITRI), seven from Taiwan Information Security Center (TWISC), and one from National Defense University of Taiwan.  Seven of these 12 projects are joint projects with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), four with University of California, Berkeley (UCB), and one with both CMU & UCB.

RESEARCH THRUSTS

Our R&D thrusts are divided into three categories: (1) Pervasive Security and Privacy Assurance, (2) Wireless and Sensor Network Security, and (3) Intrusion Detection and Risk Management (as shown in the following table). Their specific areas include: Program/Software Security Evaluation Systems; High Security Remote Authentication; Privacy-preserving Information Systems; Security on Wireless Sensor Networks, Mobile Network, RFID Applications, Wireless City, Pervasive Devices, and Surveillance Networks; IDS, SOC, and Network Security and Forensics.
